Currently, HealthieOne provides testing services for adults aged 18 and older, with specialized reference ranges for different adult populations including pregnant women, post-menopausal women, and various adult age groups. We do not offer testing for children or teenagers at this time because they require fundamentally different reference ranges than adults for accurate interpretation of biomarkers.
Why can't you use adult reference ranges for teenagers?
Children and adolescents have significantly different normal values for hormones, metabolic markers, and other biomarkers due to their ongoing growth and development. Using adult reference ranges for a child or teenager could result in:
- Misleading or inaccurate interpretations
- Unnecessary concern about normal developmental variations
- Missed identification of actual health issues specific to their age group
We are committed to providing accurate, meaningful health information, which is why we only test age groups for which we have appropriate reference ranges.
Are you planning to offer pediatric testing in the future?
Yes! We are actively working on adding pediatric and adolescent reference ranges to our testing capabilities. We understand that parents want comprehensive health insights for their children, and we're working to expand our services to include younger age groups in the near future.
We look forward to serving your entire family's health needs as we expand our testing capabilities!
