Test your
Factor XIII
Looking for an easy way to test and monitor your Factor XIII?
It's included in the HealthieOne Disease-Specific test.
Factor XIII
Explanation: Factor XIII is a protein in the blood that helps stabilize blood clots, ensuring they remain intact during the healing process. Without sufficient Factor XIII, clots can break down too quickly, leading to excessive bleeding and poor wound healing. Measuring Factor XIII activity can help identify deficiencies that might not be detected by standard clotting tests.
Test Purpose:
- Identify Factor XIII deficiency in individuals with unexplained bleeding or poor wound healing.
- Assist in diagnosing rare bleeding disorders when other clotting tests are normal.
- Monitor Factor XIII levels in patients receiving treatment for known deficiencies.
- Evaluate bleeding risk before surgical procedures in individuals with a history suggestive of clotting issues.
