Explanation: Prostaglandin D2 (PGD2) is a natural chemical made in the body from fatty acids. It plays important roles in inflammation, allergic reactions, sleep regulation, and controlling body temperature. PGD2 is produced mainly by immune cells and is involved in how the body responds to injury or allergens.
