Test your
Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c)

Looking for an easy way to test and monitor your Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c)?
It's included in the HealthieOne Disease-Specific test.

Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c)

Explanation: Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) forms when glucose in the bloodstream attaches to hemoglobin in red blood cells. Because these cells typically live for about three months, measuring HbA1c reflects the average blood sugar level over that period is a much better indication of long-term glycemic control than blood and urinary glucose and to track how effectively diabetes is being managed.

Test Purpose:

  • Detect prediabetes and Type 2 diabetes by indicating average blood glucose over the previous few months.
  • Monitor long-term blood sugar control in individuals with diabetes; guide adjustments to diabetes treatment plans based on trends in HbA1c levels.
