Test your
Estrone
Looking for an easy way to test and monitor your Estrone?
It's included in the HealthieOne Complete test.
Estrone
Explanation: Estrone is one of the three main types of estrogen, a hormone that plays a key role in the development and regulation of the female reproductive system and other body processes. Estrone is produced primarily in the ovaries in premenopausal women, but after menopause, adipose tissue becomes the main site of its production through the conversion of androstenedione. This conversion also happens in men and children, though in smaller amounts.
Test purpose:
- This test helps doctors understand estrogen balance in the body, particularly in women experiencing menopause, fertility issues, or symptoms of hormone-related conditions.
- Detect hormone imbalances: High or low estrone levels may indicate issues with the ovaries, adrenal glands, or fat tissue.
- Monitor conditions like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS): High estrone levels may contribute to symptoms like irregular periods or excessive hair growth.
