Test your
Cholesterol LDL/Cholesterol HDL Ratio

Looking for an easy way to test and monitor your Cholesterol LDL/Cholesterol HDL Ratio?
It's included in the HealthieOne Complete test.

Cholesterol LDL/Cholesterol HDL Ratio

Explanation: The Cholesterol LDL/Cholesterol HDL Ratio compares the amount of LDL cholesterol (“bad” cholesterol that contributes to plaque buildup in arteries) to HDL cholesterol (“good” cholesterol that removes cholesterol from artery walls and reduces inflammation). By comparing these two, the ratio reveals the balance between harmful and protective cholesterol. A higher LDL/HDL ratio means more artery-clogging particles relative to protective HDL, while a lower ratio means a healthier lipid profile and lower cardiovascular risk.

Test purpose:

  • Evaluate lipid balance: Shows whether cholesterol levels are weighted towards harmful particles (LDL) or protective ones (HDL).
  • Identify hidden cardiovascular risk: Useful when LDL appears “normal” but HDL is very low, which significantly raises risk even if total cholesterol looks fine.

Note: Universal clinical reference ranges have not been established for this calculated marker. Available cutoffs vary by population and clinical context. This value should be interpreted alongside individual component values, clinical history, and other relevant biomarkers.
